  OCABS hosts an intensive Bible seminar each year, in August. This summer's program is being offered August 22 - 24. (Topic and location to be announced.)

Members of OCABS give talks and retreats throughout the year. We recommend the following events in your area: 

  The Distance Learning Master of Arts (M.A.) program at Holy Apostles College and Seminary is a course of study designed to prepare men and women for ministry, teaching, and doctoral work. OCABS partners with Holy Apostles to provide course materials for students pursuing biblical studies. [learn more]

The Bible in Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Traditions

This program unit within the Society of Biblical Literature offers a forum for biblical professors and scholars from the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox traditions to engage in critical study of the role of the Bible in eastern Christianity, past and present. A particular aim of this section will be to engage participating scholars in dealing with issues raised by contemporary and critical biblical scholarship. [read more]
